Exim commands<\/p>\n

BASIC COMMANDS<\/p>\n

Print a count of the messages in the queue: exim -bpc<\/p>\n

Print a listing of the messages in the queue (time queued, size, message-id, sender, recipient): exim -bp<\/p>\n

Print a summary of messages in the queue (count, volume, oldest, newest, domain, and totals): exim -bp | exiqsumm<\/p>\n

Print what Exim is doing right now: exiwhat<\/p>\n

Run a pretend SMTP transaction from the command line.The message will NOT actually be delivered : exim -bh 192.168.11.22<\/p>\n

Display all of Exim\u2019s configuration settings: exim -bP<\/p>\n

SEARCHING THE QUEUE WITH exiqgrep<\/p>\n

Use -f to search the queue for messages from a specific sender: \u2018exiqgrep -f [user]@domain\u2019<\/p>\n

Use -r to search the queue for messages for a specific recipient\/domain: exiqgrep -r [user]@domain<\/p>\n

Use -o to print messages older than the specified number of seconds. For example, messages older than 1 day:<\/p>\n

exiqgrep -o 86400<\/p>\n

Use -y to print messages that are younger than the specified number of seconds. For example, messages less than an hour old:<\/p>\n

exiqgrep -y 3600<\/p>\n

MANAGING THE QUEUE<\/p>\n

Start a queue run: exim -q -v<\/p>\n

Remove a message from the queue: exim -Mrm <message-id><\/p>\n

Freeze a message: exim -Mf <message-id><\/p>\n

Remove all frozen messages: exiqgrep -z -i | xargs exim -Mrm<\/p>\n

View a message\u2019s headers: exim -Mvh <message-id><\/p>\n

View a message\u2019s body: exim -Mvb <message-id><\/p>\n

View a message\u2019s logs: exim -Mvl <message-id><\/p>\n
